It all started with the Loon, our flagship board that carefully blends speed with stabilization. Known in the market as a true "hybrid", the Loon is a great board for families, cabins, SUP-Yoga, lake and river cruising.
Available in three sizes: 10.6', 11.6', 12'.
Increase Strokes Per Side (SPS):
Tracking straight and increasing strokes per side (SPS) is a key performance factor for anyone paddling Lakes and Rivers. Where most boards average 1-4 SPS, the Loon can achieve 15-25 SPS. This allows paddlers to build up more speed and achieve a much more rhythmic paddling experience.
The Bamboo Advantage:
Bamboo has the highest strength-to-weight ratio of any natural fiber. This allows for an extremely durable, yet lightweight board construction. Paddle North bamboo board's, made with real bamboo, weigh at least 15% less than boards made only from fiberglass, 25%+ less then wood strip boards and 50%+ less then plastic boards of comparable size. This makes it easy to transport the board on and off vehicles, as well as down to the water.
Will this board work for me?
Yes, but let's pair you to the right size. We make this board in three different sizes: 10.6', 11.6', 12'.
A good rule of thumb: Always plan for the heaviest paddler that will regularly be on your SUP board. A lightweight person can easily move up in size (but a heavier person won't be able to balance on a small board).
The 10'6'' Loon - 26 lbs /200 lbs - is made for paddlers up to 200 lbs. This is a conservative weight limit, in which anyone below 200 lbs will feel very balanced and focus primarily on paddling. Paddlers over 200 lbs may have trouble balancing.
Dimensions: 10'6'' x 32'' x 4.75''.
Carry weight: 26 Lbs.
The 11'6'' Loon 28 lbs /250 lbs - is made for paddlers up to 250 lbs. This is a conservative weight limit, in which anyone below 250 lbs will feel very balanced and focus primarily on paddling. Paddlers over 250 lbs may have trouble balancing.
Dimensions: 11'6'' x 32'' x 5''.
Carry weight: 28 lbs.
The 12' Loon 32 lbs /400 lbs - is made for paddlers up to 400 lbs. This is a big board. Anyone below 400 lbs will feel very balanced and focus primarily on paddling. Paddlers over 400 lbs may have trouble balancing. Take into account any gear or accessories that you may be using on your paddle trip.
Dimensions: 12' x 35'' x 6'.'
Carry weight: 32 lbs.
Bringing a furry friend? -- No problem! But be sure to account for your dogs weight in your board selection.
Features: Round point nose, square tail, tri-fin tracking, 8-piece EVA deck pad, 4-point bungee system.
Material: EPS core, Real bamboo with fiberglass finish for extra durability.
Paddle sold separately.

- Time to deflate: ~1-2 minutes to get it from fully inflated to back in the bag.
- Board weight: 20 lbs - this not a typo, it is our lightest board.
- Board capacity: Up to 350 lbs.
- Durability: This board is kid proof, dog proof, rapid proof and is very stiff.
Increase Strokes Per Side (SPS):
Tracking straight and increasing strokes per side (SPS) is a key performance factor for anyone paddling flatwater. Where most boards average 1-4 SPS, the Portager can achieve 15-25 SPS. This allows paddlers to build up more speed and achieve a much more rhythmic paddling experience.
Inflatable boards naturally sit higher on the water, which can have a negative impact on the boards tracking performance. We've counteracted this by adding in the must-have displacement hull nose shape. This nose cuts the water and increases the boards speed and tracking performance. At 32'' wide and 6'' thick, it still remains extremely stable.
Will this board work for me?
Because the Portager is inflatable, it is very buoyant and fits a very wide range of paddlers. From young children to 300+ lb adults, the board will have the control, stability and balance to support all types.
Features: Displacement hull, square tail, single fin tracking, 2-piece EVA deck pad, dual bungee tie down straps.
What's included?: Everything. 11.6 Portager Board + All terrain backpack + Dual Action Pump + 10' ankle leash + Fin + compact 3-pc aluminum paddle.

The Inflatable Kayak
Sit or Stand. You choose. This hybrid water craft is a true dual citizen.
The Karve is a single person kayak, supporting up to 350 lbs. Which makes it great for fishing, recreational paddling, exercise, and exploring. Bring a dog or fishing gear and go with its collapsable design and included roller bag.
Dimensions: 11'6'' x 34.5'' x 8''
Constructed from premium military grade drop stitch PVC, the same proven material that our Portager and Sport Utility Dock are constructed from.
The Karve's dual air chamber design revolves around our four primary paddle principles:
- Tracking: Tracking is the holy grail of paddling and is the primary focus of the Karve. From it's aggressive displacement hull shape to the 12'' removable fin - this kayak tracks extremely straight.
- Balance: At 11.6' x 34.5'' x 8'', this board is well balanced to handle extreme water resistance and paddler weight up to 350 lbs.
- Durability: The board is inflatable, but doesn't feel like it. It's extremely rigid and forgiving on the water. Backed by our full 2-year warranty.
- Lightweight: 25 lbs! For this size of Kayak, it is extremely light.
Shape: Swede Form, where the kayak is widest behind the cockpit. This form allows for very efficient movement through the water, improving speed and maneuverability. At the 11'6'' length, this form highlights acceleration and tracking. Because of the narrow bow, the Karve Kayak punches through a steep wave, rather than ride over it. The wider than normal width (34.5''), combined with the buoyancy of the inflation, provides unmatched balance and stabilization.
Package:- x1 Karve Kayak with built in comfort seat.
- x1 Carry Bag.
- x1 Dual Stage Manual Pump.
- x1 Aluminum Kayak Paddle.

About Phase Five
The essence of Phase Five Wakesurf Boards was founded over 25 years ago, with our sister company Zap Skimboards. Ever since we began building boards, people have been riding our skimboards behind boats.
We have taken the technology of building skimboards, listened to wakeboarders' desires, then perfected a finned board that would allow anyone to ride freely behind a wake boat. And with over 25 years of designing boards made to ride smoothly on waves from knee high to overhead, we know we have one of the best wakesurfboards on the market today. These boards are all handmade in America and are made to perform.
If you are a wakesurf beginner or a seasoned veteran, you should be riding a board from the company who understands what works best on the water, has brought home 5 World Titles and has been building the boards longer than any other.
Why Ride Phase 5?
Handmade in America
All of our boards are handmade in Venice, Florida. We take a lot of pride in the fact that every board we make passes through the hands of some of the most skilled and meticulous people in the industry. Every stage of the build process is done to meet an extremely high standard. If a board isn't perfect, it doesn't leave our factory. We have been crafting boards for riders for over 25 years.
Designed & Built by Riders
Phase 5 is a rider owned and operated company. The same guys that are out on the water competing and riding are also the ones who are shaping, designing and building our boards.

It Started in 1934
On The Minnesota/North Dakota Border
O.G. Schmidt invented the first gear-driven electric trolling motor in Fargo, North Dakota. The idea took off with anglers looking for more boat control, and Schmidt named the growing company for the land he called home. In the heart of fishing country, on the MINNesota-North DaKOTA border, Minn Kota was born.
And Since Then We Haven't Stopped Innovating
From foot pedals to composite shafts, and variable speed controls to GPS-controlled trolling motors. Today, our trolling motors help you plow through stump fields while our i-Pilot systems control your boat at the push of a button. Our Talon shallow water anchors lock you to a fishing spot like nothing else. We make marine battery chargers that keep everything running from sunrise to sundown, day after day, year after year. And with a full line of Minn Kota parts and accessories to support it all, we've got your back.
But Our Goal Has Always Been The Same
From Our Design, Service, and Manufacturing Headquarters in Mankato, MN
Our mission remains: to develop the most powerful innovations and unrivaled fishing equipment that reliably keeps anglers on the action and enhances the fishing experience.
Our List of Firsts Is Pretty Long
We believe that every motor matters
Minn Kota is no upstart in the world of trolling motors. For over 85 years we've led the industry with innovations that have truly changed the way people fish. And after making over 10 million motors, the people driving those innovations would like to say thanks for trusting us with millions of your memories. Because at Minn Kota, every motor matters.
Because That's Who We Are
You put your name on something you're proud of. Since 1934, our name has been on the hardest working trolling motors, shallow water anchors, and other innovations that keep you on the water and in the action every day. That's what we do. That's who we are. And you'd better believe we're proud to put our name on it.
